In memory of Brandi Kubos ~ Feb. 25, 1988 – Nov. 25, 2010
Please give to a worthwhile cause and help raise awareness of domestic violence. Domestic violence isn’t always the bruises and black eyes but also the verbal/emotional abuse and intimidation and manipulation. The wounds are insidious and leave tremendous damage. Many women struggle every day with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and residual effects that take years to go away, if ever. Many women are not believed because the abusers appear outwardly to be charming and endearing to those they interact with. There is rarely an indication of what goes on behind closed doors. Embrace your warrior spirit and say “Enough is enough”. I have been blessed to share in many of the stories of women who have survived abuse and those who, sadly and tragically, have lost loved ones to domestic violence. My heart breaks for them. The mothers who have lost daughters. Women who have lost best friends. Daughters who have lost mothers…….. Let’s bring awareness to this horrific degradation of women. We all know someone who has been through it. I am not ashamed to say, I have lived it, more than one time. I hope my own scars have made me stronger and more vocal for my sisters.
